New Town signing Jason Scotland will make his Town debut as a sub this evening in the Blues’ Carling Cup second round tie at Crewe. The former Wigan man, who signed yesterday for a fee of £750,000, is yet to play a full 90 minutes this season.

Town’s U18s fell to a 3-1 defeat to Colchester United in a friendly at Playford Road on Thursday afternoon. Northern Irish U17 international midfielder Cormac Burke put the young Blues in front before a brace from Freddie Ladapo and a strike from Michael Rafter gave the U’s victory in a game played in three thirds.
